AdmissionsDean takes your privacy seriously. First, we only ask you to provide information that we need in order to deliver the information or service you have requested. Second, we don't share the information you have given us outside AdmissionsDean's affiliated/sister companies, Law Preview and BARBRI.
Some areas of our site are accessible without registration of any kind. Other areas and features require you to sign up. As do most sites, we maintain logs of site usage in order to evaluate our visitors' interests, how many pages people look at, what web browsers are being used, etc. We are only interested in this data in its aggregate form, because it provides us with a measure of how well we're doing our job. We don't attempt to use it to track any individual's activities and, moreover, it is not uniquely identifying. We will, however, collect aggregated statistics about users on our Site to share with other companies.
Personal Information. Personal information includes information such as your zip code, your usage patterns, email address, law school preferences, and other similar information collected on the Site, unless it is unauthorized by law.
Use of Personal Information. We use the personal information you supply us to personalize your Site experience, enhance our services; send you informational emails as well as feedback emails; and fulfill your requests for products or services. We may share personally identifiable information with sister company, Law Preview, but we do not share your personally identifiable information with any other third-party vendors or the public. We may also use the information we collect to develop summary reports for our advertisers. We provide this information to assist our advertisers in determining how to promote their products. We do not tell our advertisers who it was that saw or clicked on their advertisements.
AdmissionsDean offers several opportunities to receive products or information on- and off-line, either directly from us or from our partners, law schools, or financial aid providers. You indicate that you wish to receive this information by checking a box on a form; if you don't ask for it, nothing will be sent to you and nothing will be shared with unaffiliated third parties. The information we ask for will vary depending on what it is you're requesting, but generally includes things like your name, mailing address, email address, whether you have taken the LSAT and when you expect to enter law school. This information is then used by us or, if you have consented, passed on to a third party to fulfill your request. Please note that third parties may have their own data policies that differ from ours. We do compile and share aggregated demographic information about users on our site. For example, we might collect and share information about the number of users on our site who are going to be entering law school in the fall.
Personally identifiable information which is collected in association with a contest or a giveaway will be shared with (co)sponsors. Once again, third parties that (co)sponsor contests and giveaways may have their own privacy policies that differ from ours.
