The law school has more than 50 full-time faculty members, including prominent authors of casebooks and law review articles, a former chair of the American Association of Law Schools, a former Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court chief justice, and a former chair of the Massachusetts State Ethics Commission.

When it comes to student life, there a number of student organizations and 4 law journals: the Boston College Law Review, Environmental Affairs Law Review, International & Comparative Law Review, and Third World Law Journal. For those seeking to venture off campus, there is much to do in the City. “Boston is known for its deeply intellectual community but it's also a city known for a vibrant and exciting nightlife, with some of the world's best restaurants and bars, and centers for music and arts.” (BC Law Website)

With respect to student housing, BC Law offers a limited number of graduate student housing. However, the school is located only six miles from downtown Boston where there are rentals available and public transportation to the law school is readily accessible. In addition, “Allston-Brighton and Jamaica Plain are among the nearby Boston neighborhoods that attract students from many colleges and universities because of their diverse communities and relative affordability. Boston College Law School students also have found Newton, Brookline, Waltham, Watertown and Boston’s West Roxbury neighborhood attractive places to live.” (BC Law Website)
