If you're interested in attending a law school prep course so that you can truly excel once you begin your 1L classes, visit: Law Preview - The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law .

During the first year of study, students will be placed in a substantive law course of approximately 35-40 students and a Legal Writing and Analysis course of approximately 20 students. All first year courses are prescribed. “During the first semester of their second year, all students must participate in the Moot Court Program by satisfactorily completing Appellate Advocacy I. In Appellate Advocacy I, students write an appellate brief on a case under the supervision of Professor Mary Beth Beazley and practicing attorneys. Students then argue their case before panels of judges, which may include faculty members, practicing attorneys and third-year students.” (Moritz Law Website) Upper-level students also have the flexibility to design their curriculum from over 145 courses, internships, externships, and other offerings. For example, the school offers clinical education experiences in its Mediation Practicum, Legislation Clinic, Civil Law Practicum, Prosecution Practicum, Criminal Defense Practicum, Justice for Children Practicum, and the Student Housing Legal Clinic. Moritz Law also provides a number of externships, internships and the opportunity to study abroad in England.

Those interested in joint degrees will be pleased to learn that Moritz Law offers formal J.D./MBA., J.D./M.H.A, and J.D./M.P.A programs. In addition, “law students also are permitted to individually tailor a joint-degree program with many of the university's 100-plus master's programs and 90 Ph.D. programs.” (Moritz Law Website)

For those considering advanced degrees, the law school also offers the LL.M.
