With its renowned faculty and comprehensive array of courses, the University of Miami School of Law provides the solid grounding necessary to practice law successfully in a range of areas, including corporate, business & taxation, and international. UMiami offers the J.D., five LL.M. programs -- including two that, not surprisingly, concentrate on Marine and Ocean Law -- and a number of joint degrees.

Integral to its curriculum are several ambitious certificate programs that offer students the option to focus their studies and concentrate on areas of special interest. These certificate programs include: Business and Financial Law; International Law; and Employment, Labor and Immigration Law.

At the same time, Miami Law tries to reach beyond traditional boundaries to address the problems and opportunities that changing technologies, societal norms, and the globalized economy pose. Miamiâ??s award-winning clinics in Bankruptcy Assistance, Children & Youth Law, Community Economic Development, and Health & Elder Law provide exceptional hands on training for students to become active participants in these rapidly changing areas. Its very location at the crossroads of the Americas energizes and informs these cutting-edge courses and clinics, as well as its facultyâ??s research. Visiting professors and practitioners bring additional breadth, as well as breakthrough thinking and experience to the UMiami community.

Three measures of this winning curriculum: UMiamiâ??s high bar-pass rate, its solid graduate employment statistics, and its engaged and intriguing alumni who live and work in more than 90 countries.
