USC Law recognizes that a legal education is a tremendous investment in one’s future and requires a huge financial commitment. Because of this, the school “educates and enables students to make wise financial choices in regard to their education and life as a law student.” (USC Law School Website) Approximately 90% of students receive some form of financial aid, be it in the form of a USC Law Scholarship (based on financial need and academic merit), federal and private loans, and external scholarship programs.
“Each spring USC Law’s Admissions Office awards top admitted applicants our Summer Fellowships, which provide a guaranteed paid position during the summer following the first year of law school. The Fellowship is offered in partnership with prestigious law firms, businesses, and public-interest organizations. In addition, the Loan Repayment Assistance Programs assists graduates who accept employment with governmental agencies and public interest organizations that traditionally offer lower pay than private firms.” (USC Law School Website)
