Founded 2003 | ABA Accredited 2006 - Provisional

Founded in 2003, the Charleston School of Law offers students the unique opportunity to study the time-honored practice of law amid the beauty and grace of one of the South's oldest and most prestigious cities, Charleston, South Carolina. Though it is young, the Charleston School of Law is well on its way to becoming a great institution, having received full accreditation from the ABA on August 4, 2011.

Students at the Charleston School of Law are among the very few in the nation who are required to perform a minimum of 30 hours of public service before graduation. The Charleston School of Law also requires its faculty to also provide pro bono work. This commitment to "give back" is the bedrock of the Charleston School of Law's mission.

The open intellectual environment at the Charleston School of Law complements the progressive nature of the city of Charleston. With its diverse economy, rich cultural heritage, thriving tourist industry and natural amenities, the city - home to one of the nation's busiest ports - is a hub of activity. Charleston is attractive, fun and consistently named one of the best places in the country to live, work and learn. Most recently, Condé Nast Traveler named Charleston the No. 1 city in the United States for the third consecutive year.
